Are you longing to learn more about the journey to Yoga, Unity Consciousness?

Whether you are new on this journey of yoga, you’ve taken the steps to become a yoga teacher or you are already teaching and looking for more, the Lotus Centre has something for you.

There is no doubt about the intrinsic value of the asana. At the Lotus Centre we explore the full power and depth of the yoga experience.

The fact that you are here on this page as a yoga teacher, says that you already know that you are the creator of your life. Deep within the recesses of your soul, yoga is your calling to meet and unite at your highest frequency. Here at the Lotus Centre, we have the expertise to help you move through the layers of transformations that are awaiting your exploration toward a whole, complete, perfect, and fulfilled human being.

Along with empowering your transformation, we teach you how to use it to spiritually guide and empower others.

Once you know that your source is a unified field, you will see the formed world as a reflection of yourself, and therefore you cannot help but want to serve others in the name of Yoga.

The unique combination encompassing asanas, meditation, yoga philosophy, dyads, devotional chanting, enlightenment Intensives, mind clearing, and transformational empowerment led by Meranda at the Lotus Centre, will give you the tools to guide the beginner to an empowered master.

The first students graduated from the Lotus Centre Yoga teacher training in 2008. The first students graduated from the meditation teacher training in 2011. Every year, since, the Lotus Centre has had a full graduating class of certified yoga teachers and certified meditation teachers. This June will mark the 100th student to graduate from the Lotus Centre Yoga Teacher Training Program.

NEW! The Lotus Centre is offering a Summer Intensive Yoga teacher training at the Tree of Life Sustainability Project in response to the needs of the yoga community expanding outside the city.

The Lotus Centre offers training in a unique environment that combines the inspiration of art and nature. The trainings are offered inside the Gerald Squires Art Gallery. And include retreats and Enlightenment Intensives held in nature at the Tree of Life Sustainability Project.

In the fall, we will be introducing a new line of Empowerment trainings.

All of these trainings are led by a master Yogini, Meranda Squires who has walked the path to enlightenment since she was 15 years old. She spent 17 years studying under an enlightened guru in India and returns there often to study with the masters. She has taught 100’s of students and continues to lead many of them through their own enlightenment journey. She offers not only teachings in yoga asanas and meditations, but support counseling and friendship to those of us who choose to spread yoga consciousness to free the minds of our fellow Newfoundlanders.

Since she opened the doors of the Lotus Centre in 2001, her vision has grown. With each year, Meranda acknowledges that she learns as much from her students as they do from her. And she tailors the courses at the Lotus Centre to meet the various stages and needs of her students’ development.
